The ME66 is a mono shotgun mic as well as the 64. Audio Technica makes a less exspensive shotgun the AT835b but its mono as well. AT also has the 822/825 series Stereo mics. I own one of these but have never used it attached to the camera. The mic makes excellent ambient recordings and I've made good live music recordings with it but i would not use it to say capture dialog in a run and gun situation with a camera. It picks up everything around it. Why do you need/ want a stereo mic?
