vx2000 questions and querys
Hello.. well im going to some all this up real quick because it would take essays to write everything out. Ive just purchased a vx2000 for my film studies next year. Now i live in the UK and i believe ive been sold a NTSC camcorder.
The thing is im unsure if it is actually NTSC or PAL.. here are the things which lead me to believe its NTSC.. the footage does not play back on any other of my camcorders, looks like it all corrupted but it plays back fine on the vx2000. Also it plays back on one of my televisions in black & white.. Now my main concern is trying to edit this footage and combining pal xm1 footage and ntsc vx footage.. so all feed back on this situation would be highly thanked upon..! Also i noticed the vx footage seems to be smaller in resolution compared to my xm1 footage.. is that just difference in camera or something else Cheers for any help you can offer! Tom |

it is easy to check.
the VX2000E or P is pal, others ( U or J ) are NTSC. in fact few people using this camera are using the component or Y/C output, since the only way to get good video is capturing directly to a computer using firewire. The VX2000 is a camera able to read/record both format using firewire. Your TV set must be old since most of recent TV set in europe today are able to display both pal or ntsc. |
