Marc, when I read the first paragraph, it reads as a parody.
"A 17P addition to the DVCAM camcorder family – the DSR-PD170 The DSR-PD170 offers 17P and a bare-bones feature set so you can acquire the weirdest looking pictures and sound you need. Three low-grade 1/3-inch CCDs capture good images. " Who needs 17P? Low-grade CCDs? I think not.

Yes I know, it sounds like hoax, but I've seen it in others sites like here:
http://www.globalmediapro.com/av/ind...&item=926&sid= I asked for it and a salesman says it comes in 2004. So who knows. |

I have a very nice building in Chicago for sale. It's 103 stories has lots of cool elevators and a great view of the city.
Special price to all members of DVinfo $100,000,000.00 No sales tax and no payments until January of 2005. Buy before September 1, 2003 and receive at no additional charge, an very neat looking water pumping station that survived the Great Chicago Fire of 1876. It's a landmark building and would be absolutely fantastic for a background for man on the street interviews and parties. I'm sorry, I have a very warped sense of humor. Marc, do not believe anything about this PD170 coming soon, that has been going around for a very long time. Trust me, when Sony decides to come out with a replacement camera for the 150 or just a new model, they'll certainly let all of us know with the advertising. Don |

Marc,
Anyone in the know is under NDA. Major lawsuits, owning your first child and all that...I think sony would do a better job keeping it under wraps than that. |
