replace ccd and loss sharpness

I had to replace ccd in my pd170 and (maybe it is just me) but I think that after the service camera produces less sharper image. Is it even possible???? are these two things related.

I suspect various things could cause a loss of sharpness, such as misaligned optics. Can you find some "before and after" sample video frames to support this? Was the CCD replacement done by Sony? If so then maybe you can send them the examples and see if they will check the camera again.
