PD150 Recording on VCR mode

Hey I was wondering if anyone could help me. I'm trying to manually start recording in VCR mode and I don't know how I'm meant to do it. I set up my pd150 to a VTR so that I can record onto my miniDV tape, I see the video on my viewfinder and everything is set to record but I haven't been able to find what I need to press to record. Is it a menu function I need to change or anything like that. I have recorded onto my PD150 using a video editing system, but the computer starts recording when I'm in VCR mode.

I hope you all understand what I'm asking and thanks in advance for any assistance.

I have a VX2000, but I believe both are similars on this...

1) Set the POWER switch to VCR on your PD150

2) Set DISPLAY in etc to LCD in the menu settings

3) Press MENU to erase the menu display

4) Press REC and the BUTTON ON ITS RIGHT -simultaneosly- on your camcorder, then inmediately press pause on your camcorder

5)Press play in your VTR (the picture will appears in your LCD screen

6) Press pause again on your camcorder....and voilá

Fredrico,
HUH??? Not quite sure of the process you decribed.

On top of the 150 where the VTR controls are, are 2 buttons. 1 says "REC" the other has a line that connects them. Turn your camera on to VTR, press those 2 buttons at the same time and BAM! record away.

Those buttons are in between the one's that are marked "SLOW" and "AUDIO DUB" over the ones that control the play of the VTR.
I believe the manual shows a picture or 2 of the controls.

Hope this helps,
Don
