Scene detection no longer functions

Today my clips shot with vx2100 being downloaded with Vegas are downloading as single clips.

This was already happening on my old pd150.

Is is possible something has "gone out" or worn out on the camera?

check the clock on the camera-if it's not set Vegas sees one scene not seperate clips.
I had this when I edited a frends work-his 170 clock wasn't set and his tapes were not seperated by scenes. A real PITA
