How to record sound tone with color bar
I just bought this camera, searching on the NET and found this place. Thanks a lots for all of your inputs. It really saved my hair-pulling-out for not learning myself.
Any one experience of how to record the sound tone ( let say I want to record a 1000 Hertz ) with the color bar SMTPE on this camera?. THank you in advance. |

I don't know if it is possible since I do not have that camera. But
most NLE's can produce it as well. That might be another option (record it to tape from the NLE).

There are plug-in tone generators available, here's one.

Charles' way is good for mic
you can also direct inject via Cool Edit Pro, Soundforge whatever but you will need to pad it down 20db as it doesnt record off of the line audio BTW white balance does not affect the recorded colour bar (not SMPTE more candy stripe) SHAME eh? what u using AViD?
