PDX10 features?
I am looking for a new camcorder. Right now it is PDX10 vs. Canon XM2/GL2.
Canon XM2 has a nice feature "Clear Scan" that lets you adjust the shutter rate to match computer monitors. Can you do this with PDX10 also?

Hello,
The PDX10 has an adjustable shutter speed, ranging from 1/4 to 1/10000 of a second.. So you should be able to match the scan of the computer monitor with the cameras shutter speed. i own this camera now for a couple of weeks and am growing to like it very much.. Hope this helps.. Mike |

Thank you, Mike.
Do you know if PDX10 can shoot in "Frame mode" like GL2?

Hello,
Not really, but i have read of people doing it in a weird way.. If you put the camera in Photo mode, and connect the camera to a nonlinear system, or some kind of digital drive system (not captureing to tape) you can shoot in a frame type mode.. (no interlace jagie lines) i know this is not an ideal solution, but it can work in a way.. |
