Do in Camera fades mess up captures ?
I captured some test clips last night . All worked OK except for 1 clip. This shot looks fine on screen and even when I show it on a TV with s-video. While I was capturing it also looked OK.
(Vegas Movie Studio). But when I looked at the captured clip the video is all garbled and there are grey boxes on the screen. The only difference on this clip is that it ends with one of the in Camera fades. (I dont generally use them but I am practising and my finger hit the wrong button) I have not had time yet to experiment but am curious if anyone else has seen this problem? Thanks |

Just to make something very clear camera fades (or any camera
effects) are PERMAMENT. They CANNOT be undone. That being said the effect should not give the problems you are describings. Sounds like tape dropouts or harddisk not able to keep up or things like that. Try recapturing it and see what happens. If this still persists a tape cleaner might be good to run through your camera. Any chance you have been re-recording over the same tape multiple times?

I captured twice, with the same results. All extraneous programs are turned off. The HDD is recently defragged. This was the first tape in a brand new camera.
