I like the push auto button and am wondering if there are any/how many lanc controllers have a remote button for it, along with the varibable zoom?

anyone have any links?

Seems to me this was discussed in a couple threads (related to other cameras though) and there were conflicting stories of whether it's possible. Maybe somebody has a LANC controller that actually does this? I know that my Varizoom Pro-L does not, although it has manual focus up/down buttons.

A recent thread in the XL1 area, as Boyd recalled, but applicable here.

See my review article first. You'll want to first check to see if the function works with your camera if that's an important function for you.

Would prefer auto expose

Yes. Quite expensive. I would pay almost that much though if it had a 'push auto expose' function. Anybody know of LANC controllers which can control exposure?

Now that would be nice Ignacio. I want one. When I'm runnin and gunnin with my big L bracket my left hand is holding the upright part of the L and my right hand is inside the VX's strap, thumb on start/stop, index finger on zoom. If I need to tweak the exposure up or down by half a stop (the dreaded visible-on-screen half stop) I have to let go the L bracket and turn the dial ahead of the flip-out side screen (VX2k here), then go back to holding the L bracket. How nice it would be if my left hand could control thois exposure wheel remotely.

Anyone know if the exposure wheel is under the LANC protocol?

tom.
