Here is the pdx10 user's manual
Just got my pdx-10. Thanks to all the posters in helping me make up my mind.
I looked everywhere on the internet for the pdx10 manual when I was trying to make up my mind. Couldn't find it so I put a copy in pdf format at this location. http://www.ibms.sinica.edu.tw/~sroff/pdx10.html Hope it is helpful. Steve |

I have downloaded the manual, but all I see are the images, no text. In other words, just the graphics: goofy cartoon like... but no accompanying text. Anyone else have this problem?
I really want a copy of the manual. I just bought a PDX10P in China and prefer an English manual. |

Ok, ok... nevermind. I was opening it in Mac OS X's Preview, and Adobe Acrobat 5 (not reader) and having this problem. On a whim, I opened it in Adobe Acrobat Reader 5 and it looks great.
Sorry and Thanks! |

The PDX10P manual is available as a PDF from http://www.sonybiz.net/ - select Support from the menu and enter the model number.

Or, to bypass registration, go directly to the download location:

Steve, I've been there before too. Thanks for taking the time to help out!
BTW - what lens are you using with your 10D? |

I use the cheap 50 mm f1.8 canon prime. I also have a Tokina AT-x Pro SV 28-70 f2.8 zoom but I find that the 50 mm is usually the one that stays on my camera. I like getting used to a focal distance and zooming with my legs or computer.
I am thinking of getting a wide angle for my 10D but haven't gotten around to it, especially since I just bought my pdx-10.

Age of PDX 10
Just wondering...anyone remember when the PDX10 was first introduced to the market?

Shuf, I believe it was August 2002 or at least thats when I first heard about it.
B&H has lowered the price of the PDX10 to $1799 USD. |

I doubt that you'll find it online if that's what you mean. But I suspect you can order it through "PartsPLUS" here: https://servicesplus.us.sony.biz/PartsPlus.aspx Search for PDX10 and choose the model you want (PAL I assume?). You will find tons of stuff. Also check out the "exploded views" option. I assume that when you click on the document icon you should see an image, but on my Mac it tries to download a file which it can't open. Maybe it works on a PC?
