Sony ECM-Z37C External Mic
Has anyone used the sony ECM-Z37C? Any comments on how it works in comparison to other external mics? I am looking to upgrade the mic on my trv950. I am looking for one that is unidirectional and less than $150. Any other recommendations?
Thanks. |

i have a this mic and used it on my pc101. I can say that is it nice. and pretty cheap. One problem is it's made of plastic and rather weak feeling, but you get what you pay for. It's very directional and picks up nice sound (you can even use it for interviews). They say you can use it with out a battery but with the battery the level is much higher. It's kinda nice cuz you can turn it off and record at a lower level if you are somewhere really loud to avoid clipping. It comes with an extention arm so you can further reduce motor / drum noise, definately use it.
