how can I stop weird digital "blockies" on my camera?
I have the Sony TRV-900, it's about three years old, and I'm getting digital blockie things on my recorded images. I ran a head cleaning DV cassette and it didn't help.
I've got a big shoot coming up, what should I do? Will getting it cleaned at an authorized Sony place help? Thanks for any help! |

Hi,
Here's an article on head cleaning, posted by someone else in the group: http://www.taperesources.com/useful_info.html#article1 If the cleaner cassette doesn't work go for wet cleaning. I used to do this on analog audio tape decks, and it made a world of difference. There are a few other things to check. Are you mixing tapes? Apparently, the different types of lubrication on various tape brands gum up. Also, have you noticed a difference between using battery and A/C power ? My older JVC camera shows digital blockies sometimes when I shake it around on battery power, but not on A/C power. |
