Export to PDX10P fades sound out...
Hello everyone,
In iMovie I have done a "Paste Over at Playhead" which means I took footage from a 2nd Hi 8 camera and pasted it over footage of a first camera (The PDX10). In iMovie this extracts and keeps the audio from the first camera and places it in sound track #one right below the video track. In iMovie all plays well except for a slight "tick" when it plays over this spot. However when I export the footage to the PDX10 the sound fades out then back in right at the extracted spot and then shows up in the burned iDVD very noticeably. Anybody know a work around or why the camera is handling it this way? thanks, Al |

On the time line strip for audio where you do the paste over at playhead, have you checked the'fade in' or the 'fade out' cehck boxes?
In imovie 3 you can get to see the absolute level of the audio on each audio track. Try hooking up a different camera of a monitor to see if it is the PdX10 that is the problem (I suspect not) Regards P

thanks
Thanks Patrick.... I never discovered a fix but I found a good work around for future times I do a paste over. Make a copy of the clip I am pasting into and extract the audio from this clip entirely to use and paste it below. Better than having several pasteovers that the program must negotiate.
