PDX10 and MiniDv Tape-- an issue?
A sales rep for B&H warned me of technical difficulties in using MiniDV tape in the PDX10 due to the fact that it was made for DV CAM tape. He recommended the 950.
Is this an issue anyone else has expereinced or are they just steering me to the 950? |

I find that very hard to believe. Out of the box, the PDX-10 defaults to DVCAM recording. Right away I switched that off, not really wanting to buy 50% more tape. I have no problems at all using Sony Premium miniDV tapes.
The DVCAM vs MiniDV thing comes up from time to time around here, do a few searches and you'll find them, probably in the PD-150 forum. |
