Sony's CIZ enables the zoom range to be extended beyond the optical limit to about 300mm at the long end. This is not digital zoom, but 'clear image zoom', which uses AI to make up pixels cleverly.

Is it any good? Only you can judge. Here is a 4K test video that starts each scene with optical zoom only at 200mm and then invokes CIZ from the same place. The last two clips with the cardinal are both CIZ. Birds are good subjects for this - lots of fine feather details and colors.
