CX 760 Clips Stored Randomly at DVinfo.net

I just imported clips from a 3 week trip using Sony PMH software as I always do.
The video had been recorded onto the internal memory of the camera.
The files imported as folders for each date as expected, however the individual files in each folder were not in chronological order- they were completely random, and often included some files from the next day.
I have used this camera extensively with both internal and SDHC media with no problem.
Any ideas what is causing this??
