RX10 ii Faster Zoom?
I've watched some clips on YouTube of the Sony RX10 ii and it looks like it's got a much faster zoom than the mark 1 when video recording. Can anyone confirm this?

Re: RX10 ii Faster Zoom?
She is talking about making photos while she is zooming so it's not sure if it has the same speed while shooting video.

Re: RX10 ii Faster Zoom?
There's a "Zoom Speed" option in the menu.

Re: RX10 ii Faster Zoom?
You'd think Sony engineers read these forums or something...
Do I get a free RX10M2 for the suggestion? |

Re: RX10 ii Faster Zoom?
They do read but they don't listen because otherwise we would have gotten a firmwareupdate on the mark 1, you can bet it is possible but no, Sony wants you to buy the mark 2 instead :)
The rx10 has become my goto camera for a large part of a weddingday, if it wasn't for that damn slow zoom. |

Re: RX10 ii Faster Zoom?
I know people inside Sony were also begging for that 4K firmware update... too bad it never happened, but with the new sensor, there are more than a few reasons to consider the upgrade anyway... but I'll be waiting til the price comes down more than a little - my Mark 1's are fine for what I need now...really can't quibble with what they CAN do!
