O7Q TC out (FS700)
Anyone know if the O7Q outputs TC from it's TC connector that originates from the SDI in from an FS700?
I use Movie Slate logging app on my iPad a fair bit on many shoots which has a TC sync/decoder via the iPad headphone jack. As far as I can see, this would allow me to use this setup with the 700. Thanks. |

I don't think it does yet. I've just packed the 7Q in my luggage, off to Dubai for a workshop, I'll check it out on Thursday and see if it does.

Re: O7Q TC out (FS700)
Thanks Alister,
Just about to order 700 and O7Q etc - would be nice if it does as that would get around the 700 TC limitation. Have fun in Dubai - any chance for some out and about shooting while you're there? Cheers. |

Re: O7Q TC out (FS700)
You can't just go out and about shooting with a big camera in Dubai, permission is required in most places, besides I'm only there for a little over a day. Might try and do some night time-lapse. I might be going to Qatar at the end of Dec and I might try to get out into the desert for a day then.
I would think you will get TC out eventually.

Yes I did wonder. I've just been working on a quote for a possible shoot in Brazil. Bit more complex in that you have to work with a Brazilian production co by law as well as the permissions.
Swirling sand over the top of sand dunes in slow mo might be good. |
