Is this Sony's power zoom?
Take a look at this freshly posted video and check out the lens on the FS700!
oh...and please try not to stare directly into the presenter's shirt... Any word on this lens? Is it the one that will come with the FS700 and be included in the $9k price? (The last sentence is mostly wishful thinking on my part - but I can dream, can't I?) Andrew |

Re: Is this Sony's power zoom?
Yes it is powered, the lens is a bit rubbish - Though it is only the kit lens so its alright for run and gun stuff

Re: Is this Sony's power zoom?
Really? So the zoom rocker moves the lens?
the one in the video I am talking about is the black one on the FS700. Not the silver one on the FS700 he is holding, but the one shown on the still images. |

Re: Is this Sony's power zoom?
I think you might be right about the black one, can't imagine what else the lower box element would be for. And while the kit lens for the FS100 wasn't very good, you can clearly see the red ring on this one ;)

Re: Is this Sony's power zoom?
Thats the lens that is quoted on Sony's bundle:
Sony : NEX-FS700EK (NEXFS700EK) : Product Overview : Other I have to admit I didn't view the video in the OP though but see it is a different lens. I see the kit lens doesn't have SSM (SuperSonic Motor) support. |
