USB Connect wont connect
Im trying to install the Sony Content Management Utility v2.1 for the FS100 and it won't recognise the camera ("check the connected device").
I've tried it on two different computers - Win 7 Pro and Win 10 Home with two different cables...the first is the supplied USB cable but nothing is connecting. The reason I need it is that the clips are all automatically cut as 10 min 27sec long and when on the Vegas timeline the last 12 frames of each section is just not there - flatlined. So some speech is missing and needs to be there. Sen thsi before? Thx |

Re: USB Connect wont connect
There are some threads in the AVCHD section on this forum that discuss these topics with Sony cameras and Sony file software.
I also use Vegas, and for stitching together the long-running clips from my Canon AVCHD cameras I use a free software called MTS File Joiner to rebuild one long file that plays perfectly on the Vegas timeline without any problems at the individual clip junctions First I copy the individual segments of a long take from the SDHC or SDXC card to my computer using a card reader. The camera never needs to be connected to the computer. Then I use the file joiner software to create a new file that stitches the individual segments created by the camera during a long-running take into one continuous file that is seamless on the timeline.
