New FS100, $1,799
Not sure if anyone needs a brand new FS100 or not, but Adorama has sale pricing on brand new ones right now for a limited time. I saw this yesterday.
Sony NEX-FS100U Super 35mm Sensor Camcorder Body Only NEX-FS100U Debating between that and a NX100. |

Wow, it is now going for only US$1599!! Guess they're clearing out stock now that the FS5 is shipping.
Saw locally a few days a 2ndhand one sell for less than US$700, I was quite tempted. |

Re: New FS100, $1,799
I always did love my FS100 but that camera has such a thick low pass filter over it's sensor. It kills moire very nicely but that makes it so hard to get any resolution out of it. (the lens you use doesn't matter) I found myself always adding a good deal of sharpening to get it to pop.
The F3 with the same sensor and lighter low pass filter would show more miore but it gave better detail. Still a nice camera though. CT |
