fs100-recommend affordable rod support system
fs100-recommend affordable rod support system
i'm looking at picking up some longer, heavier lenses that might stress the fs100 mount. can the collective experience of this forum suggest a base plate + rod system that is both affordable and effective? thanks in advance. be well. rob smalltalk productions/nyc |

I can highly recommend the Hot Rod Camera system. It is rock solid and changes the whole dynamics of working with the FS100.
And, since I no longer own an FS100, I'm selling my kit. I've got the Hot Rod PL Tuner-S Kit and a Berekey top plate up for sale here if you're interested in a good deal. They are in brand new condition. Vortex Media Used Gear for Sale

Re: fs100-recommend affordable rod support system
One of the most economical yet good quality is Cavision. B&H carries them. Mine came with the adjustable lens support as well. You can buy a complete system--rods, handles, shoulder brace, lens bracket, baseplate, or you can buy whatever individual pieces you want. If you search Cavision at B&H you'll see the full line. I found it easier to go to the Cavision website and write down part numbers for what I wanted, then find those at B&H--they use the same numbers.
