Firmware update- loa/save pprofile questions
I just up dated myfirmware and am confused about saving and loading picture profiles.
Is there any place where this is well described? For example, do you save them onto a different card than the one you plan to shoot with? From what I read, if you format a crad, that info is lost. So I assume you would keep them all on a seperate card. I'd appreciate any help. Thanks Bruce Yarock Yarock Productions |

Re: Firmware update- loa/save pprofile questions
Yes, to be absolutely safe you would keep the SONY folder on a separate card.
But personally, I do not format my cards too often - after dumping the footie to my PC, I just delete evrything in the STREAM folder; after inserting back to the camera it asks for my consent to do some housekeeping with all the metadata that is now incorrect. It takes a split second, and doesn't involve formatting - the card is ready for recording, and with its full capacity. But that's just me (and of course, I do have my PPs backed up).
