HDMI to SDI adaptor?
A producer I do some work with wants to do a multi camlive streaming concert in HD. I've done a few before with the FS100 using an adaptor from the composit out to bnc, both iwred and wireless. But for HD, obviously, you have to come out of the hdmi.
The least expensive thing I see is the Black magic. Anything else around? Bruce Yarock |

Re: HDMI to SDI adaptor?
Thanks for the info, Michael. How do you have it attached to the camera? Picture?

Re: HDMI to SDI adaptor?
I was going to Suggest the Atomos Connect as its more portable and is designed to be able to run off battery power (Standard Sony NP Batteries at that), unlike the Blackmagic, However it is still showing Coming Soon, so will probably not work if you need it soon.
Having Said that, if you event is still a ways off, You could wait for this as while it is s little more expensive(USD 350), it does look a much better fit with your FS100 the juryrigging the Blackmagic Adaptor with Batteries, or being tied down to external power for the event For More Info - Atomos Connect Converters Brochure - http://atomos.com/connect/media/conn...A4-IBC-web.pdf Video - IBC 2011: ATOMOS Connect - versatile onboard hdmi to and from SDI converters 249? - YouTube |
