light streak in my footage?
Okay... I was super happy, doing tests and what not... Then I loaded my footage (from my FS100) into the computer, and I'm seeing some sort of "light streak" in my footage?
Can anybody tell me what this is? How it got there? What I should do? I'm freaky out, I just bought this camera. Oh yeah and the light streak is underexposed?!?!?! What's up with that? |

ER, you wouldn't like to give a bit more info on this, would you?
I can see a light line in the background of that static shot but can't tell if it was actually the background proper or something else. The darker band down the RHS is a bit of a worry but I have a feeling this is going to be an NLE setting issue rather than anything else. If there's something else in there I'm not seeing, please point it out. CS |

re: light streak in my footage?
Someone sent me a message. Apparently it's the stupid adapter. I guess there's a bit a play between it and the lens. He said tape should fix the problem.

re: light streak in my footage?
Please inform us about what kind of equipment are you using. Lens, lens adapter, ND filter.
I have seen this kind of artifacts using cheap lens adapters with no baffle and light leaks around release knob or leaver. I myself also have some 4x4 NDīs giving some flare. Especially the dark stripe to the right is seen before using cheap adapters.. Now I use a Novoflex adapter Zeiss Nikon primes and high class Nikon zooms and a Heliopan ND. |

Thread title changed from " Oh NO!!! WTH is this?!" to "light streak in my footage?"

I also use the Novoflex with Nikon lens. Work great, you get what you pay for more than not. Never had any problems.
