steadyshot and adapter issues with A Lens
Hi. Please, I need help.
I have the FS100 with the Sony 24-70mm f/2.8 LENS (Carl Zeiss) and the Sony LAEA1 ADAPTER f/A-MOUNT LENS. In menu settings on the cam I can't access STEADYSHOT, it's gray, and on the lcd display it's shows as "off". Is this normal or I have a faulty unit? Also each time I change the Iris the adapter makes an important noise. I can imagine this to be normal, but I am quite worried about the steadyshot. Thank you Martin Last edited by Martin Noboa; July 25th, 2011 at 02:12 AM. |

May be I am wrong, but there is no optical stabiliser in FS100, it's lens feature.

Re: steadyshot and adapter issues with A Lens
Martin, I think Jarda is correct. This is from the manual "• You cannot set [STEADYSHOT] when an E16
mm F2.8 lens (sold separately) or an A-mount lens (sold separately) is attached." My Question is Does the auto focus work? You are the only one that I know of to ask. I would love to know as would countless other. Dan |

Thanks for your answers. And no, the autofocus doesn't work. When I try it says "non corresponding lens"

Martin,
Thank you for that nagging question i had. Sony really got it wrong on this one. I will stick with Nikon mount lens. That lens is still a great lens though. Dan |

Re: steadyshot and adapter issues with A Lens
By the way, I have not much experience with nxcam's.
But after some tests I can not see the difference between FX and FH in 25p, even if the manual says that ones records at 24mbps and the other one 17. Neither I can see it on 50i. So which recording mode is recommended? Also, what are the advantages of recording in S&Q mode rather than in "smooth slow rec"? besides the fact the second one is only a 10 seconds shot. thank you! |
