Moire
Has Sony's AVCHD codec fixed the moire problem, like Panasonic did with their new codec?

what makes it hard to eliminate moire is that if the OLPF is set low enough to prevent moire it also removes fine detail that most want captured. moire also results when a chip skips columns and rows when shooting video and not photos. Doing this instantly drops the Nyquist frequency. Because the OLPF doesn't drop, moire results.
