HXR MC2500 internal memory to computer
I can't transfer files from my HXR-MC2500 to my computer, I have the proper cable but the computer doesn't show the camera. I've followed the instructions in the manual and found a a video on youtube but neither have helped. When I connect to the computer the camera's menu comes up with the screen showing a large X with a yellow box around it and to the right of it is says EXTERNAL MEDIA. It looks as if I should be able to cursor over to EXTERNAL MEDIA and press 'set' but the yellow box does not move.
Does anyone have any suggestions that I might try? |

Take out the SD card and connect it to your computer.
It's easier and faster. I used to do it like that ALL the time

Thanks for the reply Eugen. After re-reading my original post I realize I didn't make myself very clear, I should have mentioned I have no problem with the SD card, the problem is with the 32gb of internal memory, that's the part I can't access.

Ahhh
Ok Jim I didn't have any problems with the camcorder connecting to my iMac and FCP X.

I'm thinking there may be a problem between the camera and computer, it appears the computer does not see the camera. I'll keep working on it.
