nx3 lost eyecup at DVinfo.net

Like the title says I lost the rubber eyecup from my sony HXR-NX3

I saw a original sony eyecup cost a lot of money!

Are there cheap alternatives?

I see some very cheap soft eyecups (in red, blue, orange colors ) Anyone have experience with this?

Mostly I use the screen of my nx3 but sometimes I need that viewfinder..

Hi Tom

Have you considered making one?? I had an old lens puffer ..the thing with a nozzle and a rubber bulb that looks like a rocket ship !! The curve of the rubber part is perfect to make an eye cup that fits nicely onto your face and I just used a pair of scissors to cut out the shape and I had an eye cup.

Have you looked on eBay?? I constantly lose my Nikon eyecups which are more complex than a video eyecup and have a fancy plastic panel inside it ..Nikon wanted a fortune for one but I found some on eBay that cost me $1.00 for TWO of them ...they seem to work fine and it's only an eyecup.

I class myself as lucky. Lost mine a few weeks back. Two days later I retraced my steps and found it. Phew saved me over £30. Yes they are expensive for a piece of rubber.

Is there a 3th party eyecup that will fit this camcorder?

I'm not good enough to make one (or maybe I(m too lazy)
