Is the Sony NX30 ok to throw in the mix
I'm looking for a little handy cam and the Sony nx30 has grabbed my attention. II don't need 4K or any of the other DSL type looks, I'm after a decent handycam.
I have done a fair amount of research on this camera and know it's really a point an shoot thing but is the image any good to combine with my Sony PMW500, 5D's Gopros etc... Is this one ok. |

Re: Is the Sony NX30 ok to throw in the mix
I have been using this for the last year. It's a good camera, nice optical steadyshot.
There is quite a bit of distortion at the wide angle of the lens, which is the biggest disappointment for me and you cannot use it in full manual mode, which isn't ideal and intentional crippling for some reason. The supplied mike gives good sound and the built in LED lamp is useful as a close fill. It is also very small and light. It has a generous built in memory and slots for additional cards. I find the picture is always very dark in the midrange, so always requires colour correction. Hope this helps! |
