NX3 Steadyshot Problems

I have 2 NX3 cameras and both of them, I think, have issues when using Steadyshot. To make it clear, I am not using any digital zoom or clear image zoom, just 20x zoom. When I turn on either Standard or Active Steadyshot, it seems to work for a short time, then turns off by itself. This occurs after I am hand holding the camera really steady (like on my lap) or set the camera on the floor or tripod, then try to use the Steadyshot again. I literally have to shake the camera to get the Steadyshot to engage again. The same thing happens when on a tripod, on a long lens shot. Again, I have to shake the camera to get Steadyshot to work. Anyone else having this issue and if so, is there a fix? I never had this issue with my Z7u or Z5u. Once I turned the Steadyshot on for those cameras, it stayed on.
