Parts on Backorder
I sent my NX5U in for repair two weeks ago. It was recording corrupt data and had horizontal lines on the display and in the recorded video. I haven't heard what the problem was but the parts are on backorder. The bill was $875. Ouch. I was looking for a extended warranty when this happened. Too late. The camcorder was 4 years old last October.

wow thats spendy, mine is over two years old now and even though i have it up for sale, I still use it regularly, i wonder is the malfunction from normal use or was yours being used in unusual circumstances?
