Re: Testing HD SDI OUT NX5 -no ninja-
I am just about to post a topic regarding the image quality via the HD SDI of this camera. I bought this camera in 2010, so its just about 3 years old now.. without having to buy a new camera to replace it, i was thinking of buying an external recorder (ninja or samurai). By using an external recorder to record the cameras RAW output make a significant difference in image quality in your opinion?
If so, is there any chance you can record the same clip twice? 1 with the regular AVCHD coded (24mb/s) and one with the RAW 10 bit 4:2:2 output? i would like to see if its a night and day difference.. Theres also a lot of debate whether the SDI is true 10 bit.. many say it is really 8 bit, which is not as good as 10 bit output.. Thanks for your post, Mike |
