Webcast with the NX5U?
Hey everyone:
I was looking into this for a friend, and couldn't think a better group to ask. :) They were looking to do a Webcast. One for an interview (standard 2 person, interview/interviewee Wide shot), and another for a cooking show, (either in a home or in a studio). 1) What are the challenges of interfacing the NX5U with a PC (laptop/desktop) and with a Mac (laptop/deskop)? 2) What software works best with the NX5U? I have a few more to ask, but those were the 2 questions that I'm having trouble finding online. Thanks! Robert |

Re: Webcast with the NX5U?
You don't interface the camera with the computer; you attach the camera to an I/O interface attached to the computer. As long as the I/O works properly, connecting a camera should be a cakewalk.

I am also interested in live webcasting solutions. I would be particularly interested in which software can be configured for redundancy with failover when the uplink becomes slow or fails.

Re: Webcast with the NX5U?
I've used mine for webcasting Robert, with no major issues as long as the capture device works properly.
Worst issue you could have is needing to change the settings for the HDMI or SDI out on the camera. |
