Glide Gear DNA 50 50 steadicam
Just purchased the above steadicam to accompany my NX5, has anyone got any advice on setting up this kind of rig, due to the weight of the cameara including battery etc..

Re: Glide Gear DNA 50 50 steadicam
I had a similar glide cam with my HXR NX5e and it's just a matter of getting the weight balance to match your camera, then the front to back and lateral position to match, problem is once i set it up (took a while) i switched it on and flipped the screen out and that put it out of balance again! My mistake i never thought.
If you have the same model as mine HXR NX5e you may need to go to the gym because after 5 minutes it tends to get heavy. There is a belt/vest you can buy to help this..i think. |

Cheers Andrew, spent the day balancing the contraption, as you say you need arms like popeye to handle it..with luck should only need it on a few shots..
