My best Smooth-Slow-Record video yet: macro Italian Alpine Butterflies
Hey folks.
I just wanted to share a video that I recently completed that I think shows off some of the best smooth-slow-record footage I've seen yet. I shot it in Val Aupa in the Italian Alps in June, I originally took my NX4 to get some time-lapses of the valley but there was just so much wildlife everywhere I ended up shooting more high-speed footage than time-lapse! Have a look: 'Insects of Dordolla' - Val Aupa Italy, June 2011. HD high-speed butterfly wildlife film - YouTube This was shot using the Sony NX5 in 1080i50 FX mode using end-triggered 3second smooth-slow-record. I captured in ProRes Proxy and edited in FCP before an online to ProRes 422, grading and exporting to h264 for upload to YouTube. |

Sweet! And none of that awful edge sharpening that I seem to get when I use the 3 second smooth slow record.
