Re: Nx5p /u
Very doubtful IMHO...though I hope I'm proven wrong. Sony rarely offers firmware updates that add functionality. Typically their updates only address bug fixes.

I think Sony offer this as a World Cam upgrade.

Re: Nx5p /u
I believe that Dipesh is asking if Sony will upgrade the cameras to go from 1920x1080 50i/60i to 50p/60p. If that's the case, then the world upgrade won't add that functionality. It would simply add PAL to an NTSC or NTSC to a PAL camera. Again, IMHO Sony...sadly will most likely not add this feature.

Re: Nx5p /u
It's my guess that going from 50/60i to 50/60p would require a big jump in bitrate to around 40Mbs. I dought the NX5 was designed to handle that load.

Re: Nx5p /u
The CX700 and the other Sony's that have 60P have a data rate of 28Mbps. They likely have a different Bionz processor though so I doubt a firmware upgrade would do the change. I have CX700 as well as NX5U and the things I would like too are 60P as well as "R" sensors to get a much cleaner image . The CX700 is a lot cleaner than the NX5U.
