Advice on offloading video when out of town
Hello, this is the first time I have come across this situation.
All my shoots are local but this weekend Im doing a wedding out of town. I use a MAC Pro Desktop and don't have a laptop. I plan to shoot in 2 separate days. Friday will be some fun stuff and Saturday is the actual wedding. I probably won't have enough room on my (2) 32gb memory sticks. Is there a portable Hard drive that I can use to offload my footage with out a PeeCee? Should I just get more memory sticks? Trying to see the best and cost effective way dince I'm in tight funds till after i get paid for the wedding. Thanks for your help.

Buy more SD cards and invest in a laptop once you get paid. Otherwise, try to find someone who will loan you their laptop for the weekend.

Not an answer for you but that HXR-FMU128 is a blessing! 700 minutes!

Do you have a rental house where you can rent some cards for cheaper than buying until after you get some cash flow?

Re: Advice on offloading video when out of town
I use a Hyperdrive Space (no color) - it was a 40, but I upgraded the HD to a 250gb and it works awesome on the road.
Hyperdrive space I have three cards, and all I do is shoot, when the card is full, pop it into the HDS and walk away. Before, way before, I fill another card, it is done copying the previous. I verify, the copy, and just keep shooting. |
