Backpack for NX5u?
Is the a backpack out there for the NX5u?
I climbed down from 12,200ft to 9,300ft in just 3 miles and caring a Kata bag full of gear was just a pain int the ass! I do a lot of hiking and horseback riding in the mountains and a backpack should would be nice! |

Kata makes backpacks. They have a super light version out too.

Re: Backpack for NX5u?
I use a Tenba Medium Shoulder Bag. It is a very tight fit, and that without the outboard microphone attached. Wish it was bigger or had an add-on side compartment for peripheral gear and my lunch, but I prefer it to a backpack because I can get the camera out without removing the pack or sitting it on the ground.

Re: Backpack for NX5u?
I use last year's version of this bag:
CineBags - DSLR Camera Backpack It's durable, comfortable, and has so far protected the camera on nearly 50 flights across the country. If you take the notebook out, the bag will fit in the foot compartment (with camera) in most center-seat positions (and some aisle seats). I'll often carry a roll of gaffing tape, a Canon HF10 for b-roll, charging system, 3 spare batteries, sunblock, an Apple Macbook Pro, Mouse, Sennheiser wireless lav system a shotgun mic, a handfull of cables, and some other stuff in the pack. |

Re: Backpack for NX5u?
Yup, even with the optional clip-on Sony monitor shroud. Though - I have to take my shotgun off (of course).
The camera faces lens down, with side controls facing out. Next to it is a single column of accessory nooks. Oh, I should note that I removed several of the optional internal dividers. I only have one vertical column of three nooks. The other two columns are open for the camera. (See page 2 of the PDF on the site.) |

Re: Backpack for NX5u?
This is the exact version of the bag I have:
Read comments: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/683336-REG/CineBags_CB_25A_CB_25A_Revolution_Backpack.html Adorama seems to have stock: They seem to change the name and color every year. |

I use this Lowepro Lowepro - CompuTrekker Plus AW backpack to carry my NX5U, SR11, XR500 and CX700 with all their batteries and LANC controllers. There are a couple of models in the line. Place for laptop too.

Re: Backpack for NX5u?
I have the Cinebag for my NX5 and love it. The bag holds everything I need for a single camera shoot. Here is a post with a picture of my set up. http://www.dvinfo.net/forum/sony-xdc...kpack-ex1.html
