Sony NX Cam and Mac Book Pro via HDMI
Any advice on how to connect my NXcam to my Mac Book pro via HDMI and adapter?
The laptop does not see the camera. I want to use the display as a monitor. |

Hi John, the HDMI jack on the MacBook Pro (and most other
laptops for that matter) is *output only* and it cannot be used as an input. That's why the MBP is not detecting the camera when you connect it via HDMI. Hope this helps, |

Chris,
Okay. Any other way of getting from the camera to the monitor? Also, I plugged my Marshall monitor in to the MBP - still no signal. Any thoughts? John |

Go to System Preferences > Displays. Click Detect Displays.

Thanks Edward. It seems that the Mac will not recognize the Marshall. Not a clue why.
