Loving the Nx5
Folks
More a statement than a question.. i have to say i'm loving my NX5U. I went straight to 720 60p and have not shot in anything else since i bought it... Its just so clear and sharp... I'm so happy with the image quality (out of the box), i have not even felt the need to start tweaking, plus i think i'm now a AVCHD convert too, seems to handle fast motion really well. The real kicker is its just so nice to pop the SDHC card out and be able to instantly view the footage on my laptop, without the whole tape download/cineform convert/render thing .... regards Justin. ps. I have no affiliation with SONY what so ever ... |

You're shooting 720/60p in PAL land? Do you mean 50p? And if not, why not? :)

Re: Loving the Nx5
hi ..
yes it is NTSC .. I bought the Camera in NY from Adorama. I travel internationally so for me its better to have a camera that fits for USA/Canada. It is not really a big issue in PAL land (Australia) because most of my footage is viewed on computer & that is why 60p Progressive is so attractive. Plus. the camera was $1000.00 cheaper than buying a PAL version in Australia. At the time the Aussie dollar was higher than the greenback so that provided an extra discount. If its reasonable to do so i may get it World CAM upgraded next time I Visit the USA, from what i can see online its about $300.00+ and required a new board and a S/W patch to enable dual PAL/NTSC regards Justin. |
