Your menu settings for the NX5
Hi All
Last year I started a rough-and-ready blog about the NX5. It's very popular, maintaining over a thousand pageviews a month. Adam Welz's NXCAM Blog I've just posted my fav menu settings and it would be great to get your opinions on these. Cheers! Adam |

blog
I'll post as often as I can -- which varies, depending on how much other stuff I have to do!

I too have found your NX5 menu settings interesting - and we have very similar tastes I note. The only difference is I rather like the gentle gain changes that are on offer - I find if I've got a sudden 1½ stop change (from +3 to +9dB say) on the timeline then it needs post work, whereas if I've flipped the gain up and have smooth selected, I can leave that as is.

Like Tom I have smooth gain on. I shoot theatre and often switch gain while recording. With smooth gain on this change is not noticeable and simultaneously I can adjust the iris. To me this is one of the biggest improvements over my FX1( other than the picture being a lot better !!!). I have my gain switch settings at 0, 6, 9 and auto limit set at 15.
