Event Coverage - Best Resolution?
I've been commissioned to cover a live awards event in a few weeks, it will be the first time I'm using the NX5 in a real situation.
What resolution setting would you think would be the best for the situation? I'm thinking 1080/30p? What are your thoughts?

Do you like working with 30p?
Are you shooting multi-cam? What do the other cams shoot? Frankly, I do not think there will be any noticeable difference between 30p and 30i (what we used to call 60i). Most awards programs --- at the least the ones that I've shot --- are pretty static so 30p would not present problems with motion artifacts, which is the reason I've usually avoided it. On what media will you be delivering the video? |

Like Jay I don't like the motion artifacts of slow frame rates so always use 60i since the other cameras in the shoot are 60i anyway.
