Recommendations for Matte Box
OK, good people... I've purchased an AX2000 (72mm thread lens) and am looking for a matte box/french flag combo. Mainly a French Flag, though the ability to add 4x4 filters could be really nice in the future. I do a lot of outdoor shooting and lens flare, in the wrong context, sux. Any y'all who shoot NX5U or AX2000 (or any 72mm lens people) use a matte box?
I'm looking for utility, durability, and inexpensivity... (I know, that last one isn't a word...) What are your thoughts? What are my choices? Any help would be appreciated! |

Hey Bob! I would suggest taking a look at Chrosziel
They have a kit for the Z5U which I believe shoot fit the NXCAM/A2000 just fine. I placed a call into them to verify and awaiting an answer. Take a look at thier kit 16x9 Inc. :: Chrosziel Mattebox - Kit 1 Kit Includes: Sony HVR-Z5U & HDR-FX1000 Mattebox - 16:9/4:3, 16:9 insert mask [450-MA], French Flag [450-11], 4x4 Rotating Filterstage - including filter holder [402-12], 4x4/4x5.65 Fixed Filterstage - including filter holder [410-04], Pivot Mechanism - use with optional side wings, Ø 110mm Rear Plate, 110:85mm Step-down Ring [410-39], Lightweight Support System [401-417] Tapeworks Texas Inc Price: $1,895.00 I know that's not really considered "inexpensive" but I've had clients try some of the cheaper options on the market and they are not manufatured very well....durability plays a big part in these and the Chrosziel seem to be made well. If anyone has any of their own opinion's on Chrosziel, I would like to hear them!
