Smooth slo-mo resolution loss
Has anyone done any tests to see what the resolution loss looks like if you use the 3, 6 or 12 second slo-mo feature of the NX5? I must say the 'smooth' adjective is just perfect - doing a quick 3 second, hand-held track around the wedding flowers gives me a beautifully fluid 12 second take. It's so fluid and smooth that even slight bumps are ironed out, and I find I can use quite a bit of telephoto to soften the background (dof) as well.
Just wish it wasn't such a convoluted series of menu-moves to get the camera to shoot slo-mo. It's such a hassle that I've resorted to using the touch screen to hurry the process along, but the slightest finger print on that screen makes it even harder to see (is this possible??) in daylight. I'd love slo-mo to be an assign button decision. Same with 'delete last shot' and 'show last shot' - why on earth isaren't these a button-push away? Oh-oh - I can feel the NX7 coming. tom. |
