Canadian buying an AX2000 or NX5U from B&H
Hi.
Thinking about purchasing either an ax2000 or nx5u sometime soon. Because the cameras are so much more expensive in Canada, was thinking of purchasing through B&H. Any issues with warranty when buying through the US? I have heard Canon have North American warranties but does Sony have as well, or they US only? If the warranty will not be good in Canada, I will have to look at Canon since the Sony's in Canada are just out of my price range. Thanks Mark |

Hi Mark,
I think Sony US and Sony Canada are two different animals so there will probably be warranty issues.

Others who have done this have complained quite vociferously about this issue. Caveat Emptor.

Mark, you need to price from several dealers in Canada. By the time you take into consideration the exchange rate and the shipping and customs broker cost the NX5U may be cheaper in Canada. My NX5U came with a full version of Vegas Pro 9 too.
