Pre-record settings on Sony HXR-NX5E
Was looking at the user manual for the HXR-NX5E and on page 43 of the manual it began to talk about Record Timing, but then broke off and didn't continue on the subject.
My question is, does the NX5E have a record setting whereby you can set it to start recording several seconds prior to when you actually hit the record button? Our sports guy has this setting on his camera and when he covers hockey he doesn't hit the record button until a goal is scored, and because he has the settings set to start recording up to 15 seconds prior to when rec button is hit, he never misses a goal or wastes valuable card time. Now, he has a Panasonic P-2 camera, but I just wondered since the Sony manual broached the subject, if it was possible on the Sony's. I'm betting not, but was hoping someone could give me a definitive answer. |

That's just for the smooth slow record function so that you can record golf swings etc.
