Sony Vegas and 1080p
Hello guys.
I noticed that when I import 1080p footage from NX5 into Vegas, it tells me that it is interlaced, upper field, not progressive. 720p footage it shows as progressive. CMU shows the correct information, the same way I recorded. Could it be a bug in Vegas? Other video information in project media that is confusing to me: 1920x1080x12. what is 12? SD recorded with NX5 says 720x576x32. Other samples (from Canon T2i) says 1920x1080x24. Are those numbers bits of color? How can it be 12 bit on HD and 32 bit on SD? |

The latest update of Vegas, 9.0d, solves this problem. Now it shows correctly, progressive.
Still it remains the "12 bit" issue, i checked with another file recorded on JVC GZ-HM400 and still has the same properties, 1920x1080x12. Curiously, in the Preview window at the bottom the project is 1920x1080x32, but I didn't find anywhere how to modify this setting on Project properties. |
