Audio Settings with “Audio Limit” in NX5u & AX2000
Both of these cameras have an “audio limit” function which the manual says is intended to prevent clipping. The manual says you can turn it on or off from the menu but provides no further discussion.
Is this a true limiter or is it just a renamed version of audio automatic gain control? (Did Sony decide to call it a limiter in order to avoid confusion with video level automatic gain control functions?) If it is a limiter, does it work like the one in the EX-1 cameras (except that you can turn this one off)? If it does work like the EX-1 limiter, should I follow the same settings recommended for the EX1. For a discussion of those EX1 settings see the thread at: http://www.dvinfo.net/forum/sony-xdc...od-enough.html |
